The Georgia Guidstones

Have you ever heard of the Georgia Guidestones?  They are located on a hill in Elbert County, Georgia near the town of Elberton. Here is a photo:
The four wing stones of the six stone monument are engraved in eight different languages with what are known as the 10 guides or commandments. The stones were commissioned by a man named RC Christian in June of 1979. He went to the Elberton Granite Finishing Company expressing his desire to build a monument that would send his message to mankind. He said he represented a group of men that wished to offer a new direction for mankind and so the monument was built. No one ever knew where Mr. Christian came from or who was in his group, but a book was found in the Elberton Library by a man of the same name. In it the writer explains that the monument was erected in honor of Thomas Paine's great pre-revolutionary war work, "Common Sense". Paine was one of a small group among the American revolutionaries that did not believe in God and was a follower of occult philosophies like Rosicrucian-ism.

The monument has also been called "American Stonehenge".It is used regularly for occult ceremonies and mystical practices by groups from all over the country and even the world. The philosophy that stands behind the 10 guides or commandments is quite scary. To achieve them would require a genocide that would be planet wide. We will get to those after this...a diagram of the stones (from Wired magazine) and also a photo of the 10 Guides in English.

"The 10 Guides"
1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion – faith – tradition – and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth – beauty – love – seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature.
How do you get these things done without drastically reducing the standard of living of everyone on the planet? How do we reduce that planet's human population to 500 million without mass exterminations? What is the "infinite" in #9.

Many of these ideas can be found in the UN charter too. One has to wonder what the 'powers that be' have planned for us. I'm kind of hoping I do not live long enough to find out. Still, it would be interesting to see how something like this would finally unfold, keeping in mind that the world is moving closer to these things all the time. These stones are fascinating and very scary all at the same time.
